Enjoy the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and beauty of our cabin, nestled among the hardy oak trees, with its' sparkling lakeside view.  The cabin is tucked away in the heart of the Ranch's scenic hills to  ensure your privacy and secluded enjoyment.

The environmentally friendly cabin was built by our family from cedar, oak and cottonwood that was logged and milled, right here on Oak View Ranch, with our own sawmill. The oak tongue and groove flooring, as  well as some of the windows , were saved and reused from an old schoolhouse that was being torn down not far from the ranch. The cedar doors with their deer antler doorknobs, were also handmade from native
Ranch material.

The cabin has a large, cedar wood deck, part of which is sheltered by the shake shingle roof, for your relaxing and nature viewing pleasure in any kind of weather. A short path leads you from the deck to the boat  dock, and a 4-seat paddleboat! And after you have spent some time enjoying the lake, you might want to head back to the cabin to enjoy a game of horseshoes or checkers.

The exposed cedar beams and large panoramic windows create an open, yet friendly, great room. For a restful night's sleep, you have your choice of two antique, brass beds on the main floor, or two single beds in the cozy cedar loft. Antique and vintage furnishings complete the nostalgic feeling of days gone by.

The cabin is heated with a wood stove and it has a propane stove inside and a gas bar-be-que grill on the deck for your cooking and bar-be-queuing needs. Gas lanterns and oil lamps provide soft, golden lighting in the evenings.

Housekeeping essentials such as cookware, bedding, towels, dishes, etc. are supplied. Guests will need to bring their own food and  beverages for their stay. Don't forget your cameras!!

There is an enclosed solar shower near the cabin. It also is made from red cedar milled on the Ranch. Its' gravity flow showerhead and concrete floor with drain, makes for a nice way to cool off after an enjoyable day spent fishing or hiking. The outside bathroom facility is completely finished inside with clean, sanitary, melamine paneling and outside with wooden shiplap paneling.

Come spend the day with us as guests in our cedar cabin, and make "Memories to Treasure" of a unique cabin camping experience!
